Soybean Yield Response to Foliar Fertilizer and Application Timing.

In 2008 research was conducted at the University of Kentucky Agronomy farm to determine the effect of foliar fertilizer and application timing on the yield of Soybean. Boron, zinc, and manganese were applied to their respective plots at a rate of 1 lb per acre at R1. Zinc and manganese were also applied in R1 + 1 week after.  A nitrogen foliar application was made at R1 and at R1 + 1 week after. Potassium was applied at 2 weeks after planting (WAP), 2 & 3 WAP, 2, 3 & 4 WAP. A combined treatment with nitrogen and potassium was made at 2, 3 & 4 WAP and at R1 + 1 + 2 weeks after. Statistical analysis showed no significant yield differences among treatments. The study was repeated in 2009.
