Oral Session
C02 Crop Physiology and Metabolism Very seldom symposia were devoted to the roots. For example, the most recent one on 'Root Effects on Soil Properties, Processes, and Organisms' was in 2001. Our present symposium is meant to correct this and will examine the below-ground dynamics (e.g., architecture, anatomy, metabolism) and link the bellow- with above-ground crop performance and stress tolerance. This may include both empirical and modeling efforts, as well as efforts to bring into the marketplace reliable technologies for root evaluation.Cosponsor(s):
