This symposium will feature invited speakers who can address the role of forest, range, and wildland soil science in developing policies relating to climate change, energy, water, environmental services, forest management, etc. We will promote presentations and discussion revolving around the question: "What do policy makers need to know about forest, range, and wildland soils today and are we being effective in answering their questions?" We will also ask "What do we need to know from them?"
