GA142 is an identified compound from Goemar Corporation shown to have physiological effects in cell growth in meristematic tissues and affect pollen development.  This has been shown to effect yield production in maize.  In addition, past research conducted in the 80’s and 90’s has shown ammonical nitrogen forms applied later in growing season have increased kernel counts per ear on some hybrid types.  This data has been utilized by applying foliar nitrogen to some hybrids late season at tassel and silking timing.  This poster will summarize 3 years of trials combining these two management practices.
