Soil organic matter is a composite indicator soil quality. The study was conducted to evaluate the long-term effects of tillage (no-till vs. conventional tillage) on soil organic carbon and nitrogen pools associated with carbon sequestration and nitrogen accumulation in soil organic matter. Composite soil samples were collected from 0 to 30 cm depth at 15 cm intervals, processed and analyzed for total organic carbon and nitrogen, active carbon and nitrogen, passive carbon and niotrogen and basic soil properties.
