233 Sustaining Global Food Security In A Changing Climate: Examples From the Regions.

Oral Session
ASA Section: Global Agronomy Contemporary climate variability and prospect of significant longer-term changes poses substantial threats to food security at global, regional, and local scales. The nature of these threats and time-horizon and need for investments in adaptation will vary considerably by region and also with the diverse characteristics of different farming systems. This technical session will develop the regionally-specific context for the challenges ahead and what resilience strategies are being develop to address the challenges of climate variability and progressive climate change.
