Session Description: Remote sensing is gaining importance for quantifying area, condition and yield potential of crop and pasture land. This results from increased availability of suitable satellite data, new image processing tools which permit data extraction on-the-fly, and more powerful and convenient crop classification algorithms. This session will provide an overview of the state of the art in this rapidly changing field.
