Oral Session
Symposium--Soil Carbon and Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Improving Methodology, Calculations, Analysis, and Modeling
ASA Section: Environmental Quality
Both soil carbon and greenhouse gas emission are inherently temporally and spatially dynamic. Each step from establishing a baseline through scale-up is fraught with challenges and pit falls. Invited specialists will provide guidance on establishing quality baseline data, review greenhouse gas calculations from plot scale to integrating in space and time, converting to carbon equivalents, and finally offer statistical procedures for comparing across space and time.
