Spectral analysis and time series analysis were employed to explore different transport mechanisms with 20 years' water quality monitoring data in an agricultural watershed of Pennsylvania. Variables for temporal analysis included stream flow, concentration of nitrate-N, sodium, and chloride. A multivariate temporal model was developed to predict and monitor nitrate-N concentration in the stream network.
