Abstract:
A questionnaire was sent to 461 subscribers to the soil physics division listserv. If the subscribers taught a soil physics course, they were asked a series of questions. These included enrollment over the last 10 years, what textbook, notes, or math software packages were used. They were also asked if they used Excel, HYDRUS, or some other model in teaching their course? They were asked if a lab was required and if calculus was a prerequisite. Information about plans to offer a course via distance learning, useful websites, and successful strategies for increasing enrollment were also sought.
