Poultry litter has long been recognized as a good source of plant nutrients with great potential for supporting many forage cropping systems. One major problem of soil amendment with high rates of poultry litter is accumulation of macro and micronutrients. This study was developed to examine how orchard grass soils that contain nutrient accumulation from poultry litter application could be remediated through prescription based inorganic fertilizer addition. Initial soil nutrient data, soil nutrient loading by repeated application of poultry litter, and soil nutrient levels after three years of prescription based inorganic fertilizer application will be presented.
