High resolution digital elevation data has been acquired and processed to create a continuous 5 meter bare earth terrain dataset for about 90 percent of the Southern High Plains, Southern Part (MLRA 77C).  This dataset is used to identify and characterize the depressions and playa basins in this semi-arid elevated plateau.   The hydrologic and terrain properties of playa basins are evaluated processes to deliver parameters needed for hydrologic analysis.  Catchment area and stage-area relationships are determined using spatial analysis tools.
