Georgia's Onsite Wastewater Training and Demonstration Program

Georgia's Onsite Wastewater Training and Demonstration Program combines talents from several sources to provide a training and demonstration environment useful to those involved in the industry.  Created in 2007, our training program provides continuing education to the soil evaluators, installers, pumping contractors, and environmental health specialists on a continuing basis.  With two permanent demonstration sites, one at the University of Georgia Griffin Campus in the Southern piedmont and one at Hazlehurst in the Southern Coastal Plain, systems are displayed in a semi-installed manner so that class participants can visualize the function and the components of each product.  Classroom facilities are available for instruction on indoor-appropriate material.  In addition, classes are conducted at selected sites in each health district throughout the state.  During these classes, University of Georgia faculty and soils consultants report results of their research pertaining to onsite waste treatment systems.  In addition, Technical representatives explain and demonstrate the latest product features their representative companies have to offer.
