ABSTRACT WITHDRAWN

The value of soybean crop is its protein and oil content of the seed.  Many factors influence the protein and oil content of soybean which includes weather, soil, and variety.  Probably the easiest factor to control is choosing the right variety to grow. Profile of protein and oil contents of soybean crops grown across Nebraska has shown association to ecological factors such as rainfall and temperature. Funded by the Nebraska Soybean Board,  samples were sent to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln  for analysis by producers across the state upon the harvest of their crops. The involvement of industry group, research institution of higher learning and producers in achieving a common goal is distinctive and the knowledge gained is re-integrated into the extension programming to improve the quality of soybean across the state of Nebraska.
