Poster Session
S06 Soil & Water Management & Conservation There are increasing demands to improve our understanding of how agricultural conservation practices affect volumes and quality of runoff waters at the field scale. Edge of field monitoring is now being advocated by USDA action agencies. Yet there are multiple challenges to edge-of-field monitoring in terms of experimental design and methodology, and proven technologies are costly. Given these issues and increasing numbers of field-scale hydrology and water quality studies being conducted, we believe a symposium on this topic would be well timed and that an assessment of the state of the science of edge-of-field monitoring is needed.Monday, October 17, 2011: 4:00 PM-6:00 PM
