Plant Measurements From Leaf to Canopy: Light and Temperature Interaction

Oral Session
Workshops Participants will learn the basics of plant, temperature, and light interactions. Oral sessions by Dr. Bruce Bugbee and Dr. Gaylon Campbell will provide an overview of the theory. These will be followed by small-group, hands-on practicum sessions to allow participants to make measurements on plants using the newest instrumentation available. Measurements include: •Leaf temperature using infra-red sensors •Radiation interception and Leaf Area Index •Total shortwave and Photosynthetically active radiation •Normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) •Nondestructive measurement of chlorophyll concentration •Stomatal conductance •Hyperspectral reflectance Price: $70 ($100 after Sept. 7) Contact: Ashley Fickenwirth; 509-332-2756; Ashley@decagon,com
