State climatologists are state level climate service providers who offer services, tools and enhanced outlooks for people in their states, particularly to agriculture.  Specific tools, outlooks and other information are provided by state climatologists especially in the Corn Belt to serve the large agricultural sectors.  We will review the history of the state climate program, how it serves agriculture and how it interacts with U2U and several USDA-and NOAA sponsored climate programs.
