Collaborations and partnerships are going to be very important in influencing U.S. livestock and poultry producers to mitigate and adapt to climate change.  The Climate Change & Animal Agriculture project is developing and pursuing such collaborations as it builds extension capacity to deliver programs that will help producers mitigate and adapt to climate change.  Current collaborations include:

- Working with the University of Arkansas and the National Pork Board in publicizing the Pork Carbon Footprint project and disseminating results to stakeholder audiences and the public;

-  Regional collaborations, such as working with the Southeast Region Climate Consortium and western dairy producer associations to advance educational efforts with agricultural producers;

-  Ongoing dialog with existing AFRI CAP projects, such as the Corn and Pine CAPs, to share and communicate information.

The project team provided input toward enhancing stakeholder engagement in recent animal-focused AFRI CAP proposals and remains open to developing further collaborations.
