Soil Is Science for Elementary School Children.

The West Texas A&M University Farm and Ranch Club took the challenge from the 2011 Annual Meetings to promote soils in their community! In working with a local elementary school, the club members used soil to teach science. Children from kindergarten through fourth grade were exposed to soil through various games and activities that got their hands "dirty"! The kids also learned that without soil they would be without food, clothing, shelter or air to breathe.
