43 So What's Next? A Panel Discussion On Career Opportunities for Graduate Students.

Oral Session
Special Sessions The proposed session will focus on both traditional and non-traditional career opportunities for graduates in crops, soils and agronomy. Society members currently scheduled to attend the annual meetings will converse and provide advice to graduate students about their career paths and also share their perspective of future opportunities and areas of need in their professions. The session is also intended to begin conversations between graduate students and more senior society members. Four to five senior members will be invited to form a panel, with a subcommittee member moderating the session and encouraging audience participation. Panel members will give a brief 10 minute presentation each and later open the floor to a 20 to 30 minute Q&A. The remainder of the time (10 to 20 minutes) will be dedicated to more one-on-one conversations between small groups of students and each individual panelist.
