SASES Tour 5 - Non-Crop Plant Production Systems

Oral Session
Students of Agronomy, Soils and Environmental Sciences (SASES) Plants have many uses and this tour will highlight some of those. We’ll begin on the turf at either the Red or Bengals Stadium (depending who's in playoffs), continue to a behind-the-scenes view of the spectacular ornamental displays at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanic Garden, see the rescue program of Hamilton County’s only indigenous endangered species (Running Buffalo Clover), and finish with switchgrass production at the Maysville cofiring plant. Lunch will be at the 6-acre food lover's paradise at Jungle Jim’s International Market – a supermarket unlike any other you've ever experienced.
