High Efficiency Green, Field Nitrate Test Kits With Handheld Photometer Based On Nitrate Reductase.

The Nitrate Elimination Co., Inc. (NECi) manufactures recombinant Nitrate Reductase (NaR) in the yeast, Pichia pastoris.  The highly purified enzyme, NaR, is stable and shipped at room temperature with no need for refrigeration.  For Ag Field Nitrate Test Kits (NTK), all the reagents and equipment required for nitrate analysis are packaged together in a simple to use format with easy to follow instructions.  Ag NTK have been for sale for more than 5 years and are widely used by farmers, Ag consultants and growers.  More recently, NECi has developed a portable, handheld photometer for reading the Nitrate content results of the Ag NTK for soil, plant tissue, and forage.  The Ag NTK are designed specifically for the application and the photometer is adjustable so that the results are displayed in the units the end-user expects to see and use.  Thus, Ag NTK provide the user with immediate data relevant to their needs in the field without waiting for the sample to be sent away and analyzed off-site.  This allows the user to make decisions immediately with regard to required applications of side-dressing or other N‑fertilizer issues.  The accuracy of the NECi Ag NTK matches the convenience and ease of use.
