There is confusion about the regulations and restrictions on unmanned aircraft in agriculture by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). I will talk about the current requirements for obtaining a Certificate of Authorization (COA) from the FAA. I will conclude with some thoughts about the issues facing the FAA for regulations of commercial UAS in the future.
