The West Texas A&M University Farm & Ranch Club achieved their goal of promoting agronomy, soils and the environment by working with the city library's summer program for children. At this event the club members taught over 150 children about crop production, where their food comes from and how a farmer's crops and livestock make it into their kids meal from the local fast food restaurant. Children and their parents were able to see that there is a large amount of work required to take their food from the field to the drive-up window!
