In 1940 the University of Kentucky’s Agronomy Club was created. The club was an active organization on campus for many years until going dormant a few years ago. With the help of previous club advisors, program recruiters, and an interested group of agriculture undergrads, the club was revived in November 2013. Naturally, new club members were interested in the history of the club and the club’s place on campus. Members began to search for information on past club activities by speaking with club alumni, viewing club historian books, inviting a past club president to speak to club members, and a club alumni list was created to connect club alumni with current members. Data collected by club members was then used to educate members on past club functions and roles, recruiting new members to the club, and to ultimately showcase the importance of the Agronomy Club at the University of Kentucky.
