This symposium will focus on emerging energy sectors such as unconventional natural gas production (hydraulic fracturing), in situ leaching/recovery U mining, and alternative energy. We will bring together speakers who will present on topics such as resource management (e.g., water use), contamination, environmental impacts, and life cycle analysis. Topics related to financial, political and regulatory issues will also be considered for this session.
