  • Abstract:

Sudden death syndrome of soybeans and soybean cyst nematodes are becoming major problems for soybean production.  In the United States, it is estimated that the loss from sudden death syndrome is 35 million bushels per acre per year. A new seed treatment has been released called ILeVO.  This seed treatment has a mode of action that provides protection against sudden death syndrome and has activity against nematodes.  The research being conducted shows the differences among PSST+2030, Clariva/Cruiser, and ILeVO. These different seed treatments were studied in 3 fields throughout Illinois.  Soybean cyst counts and sudden death syndrome ratings were taken and analyzed from the different treatments and locations.
