Abstract:
The advent of next-generation sequencing has resulted in an explosion of metagenomics data associated with microbial communities from a variety of ecosystems.  However, no database and/or analytical software is currently available that allows for archival and cross-study comparison of such data.  myPhyloDB is a user-friendly personal database with a browser-interface for accessing and analyzing taxonomic information from multiple projects and/or sequencing runs.  The goal of myPhyloDB is to allow for easy comparisons and statistical analysis of microbial (i.e., fungi or bacteria) taxonomic abundance across projects, soil types, and management scenarios.
