244 Symposium--Harvesting Genetic Resources: Resequencing and Other Approaches

Oral Session
C08 Plant Genetic Resources
A recently published commentary by McCouch et al (2013) on "Feeding the Future" focuses on the fact that we must mine biodiversity held in ex situ collections to meet the challenge of our food supply in a changing world . This symposium will present exciting new genotypic and phenotypic approaches for increasing the utilization of germplasm in crop improvement.
