Soil science pedagogy needs to effect a radical transformation to produce a greater diversity of informed students - and, in turn, soil scientists - to solve many societal problems. an opportunity exists to develop innovative and exciting computer-driven lessons and activities in the area of post-secondary soil science education. Web-based course resource development is still in its infancy in soil science). A team of soil science and other earth science teachers developed sets of online lessons and case study in soil genesis and development. The lessons were implemented at three institutions beginning Spring of 2006. Evaluation results obtained will be presented.
