An interdisciplinary biogeochemical analytical laboroatory was equipped through funding from the NSF Major Research Instrumentation Program. This laboratory is now equipped with: Flow Injection Analysis system with integrated Ion Chromatography, Carbon and Nitrogen Elemental Analyzer, Total Organic Carbon analyzer with integrated N, and associated  analytical and ultra-micro balances. This newly equipped analytical laboratory at Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, Arkansas, will function as a multi-disciplinary laboratory for both research and training/education. The biogeochemical analytical laboratory instruments will initially be used in four independent research projects that span the disciplines of biology, chemistry, and soils. This instrumentation suite will also be used to attract potential users and facilitate future collaborations.
