On September 19th through the 21st, the Virginia Tech department of Crop and Soil Environmental hosted its centennial celebration, titled “Rooted in Agronomy since 1908.”   The Virginia Tech Agronomy club played a major part in both helping to plan the events along with assisting in the execution of the events throughout the weekend.  The events that took place included farm tours, a golf outing, and a banquet. Alumni from the department traveled from all over the country to take part in the exciting events to reconnect with old classmates and professors.  The Agronomy Club members took advantage of this opportunity to interact with former students and faculty and show how the department and the club have changed and developed throughout the last century.  Overall it was an excellent opportunity for club members to reconnect and show our intense pride and strong sense of tradition throughout the department of Crop and Soil Environmental Sciences and the Virginia Tech Agronomy Club.
