Three forage and three sweet sorghum hybrids selected based on preliminary information about their adaptation for eastern Texas were grown in small plots (4 rows by 15m). Nitrogen fertilizer was applied to the plots at rates of 0, 50, 100, 150, and 200 kg N / ha. Experimental design was a randomized complete block with 4 replicates. Agronomic yield such as biomass production, plant lodging etc. and quality data such as crude protein, ADF and NDF for the forage hybrids and sucrose yield and concentration for the sweet sorghums were collected.
