Introductory Soils has been taught online for four years at Penn State’s World Campus.  The 3-credit course has 30 lessons and five laboratories that include text, illustrations, animations and videos.  Over 200 students, from 30 different states and four different continents, have enrolled in this course.  Students are graded on lab reports, five exams, and extra credit assignments.  Students have consistently given the course positive feedback and evaluations.  Using the Likert scale, students rated the overall quality of the course as 6.4 out of 7 and the course delivery as 6.5 out of 7.  The ANGEL Course Management System is used to deliver the course. Students can enroll in the course through the Penn State World Campus. An overview of the course will be given along with recommendations for future course delivery.
