Sediments collected from Florida Everglades wetland were incubated to monitor the respiration and mineralization under controlled environment. The experiment was conducted in growth chambers with three different temperatures on sediments collected from various vegetations. The respiration rates of the sediments were monitored by trapping released CO2 with 0.5 M NaOH, and analyzed by LiquiTOC, the solution samples were collected in certain intervals to evaluate the influences of vegetation types, temperature regimes on the respiration and sediments mineralization in order to elucidate the stability of those wetland sediments and its determinant factors for impacting the wetland carbon sequestration.
