Application of chromosome specific markers will aid in development of comprehensive genetic map in cotton. Laser Capture Micro-dissection (LCM) microscope can be used in isolating individual chromosomes, which can be screened by PCR-based markers. In the current work 13 markers were used for screening 25 samples isolated by LCM and amplified using Whole Genome Amplification (WGA) procedure. Out of 8 markers selected, only 5 markers were specific to chromosomes 11 and of 5 markers selected, 3 were specific to chromosome 4.
