Presentation Tips for the Young Turf Scientist: An Academic Perspective.

Many find the path from graduate school to a professional career difficult to navigate. Two young scientists will share stories from their own experiences to educate current graduate students about how to make the transition from graduate student to a professional position. Topics will include: the reality of the job market in academia, presenting oneself inside and outside the meeting room, the importance of publishing, successful interviewing, and getting an academic program up and running.
