 Using hot water for soil sterilization has been popular in Japan as an alternative for using methylbromide having negative effect on environment.It was researched that solute moves to the deep layer by eluviation at the time of soil sterilization with hot water, and solute will rise from deep layer to outer layer when it passes for a certain period of time.However, temporal measurement of water and solute movement after soil sterilization with hot water has not researched.This study was ran to figure out water and solute movement after hot water sterilization.We measured dielectric constant and electric conductivity by Time Domain Reflectometry and ground temperature by thermocouple.Mesurement was carried out for one month.After hot water dispersion, volumetric water content suddenly rose from an outer layer in order of a deep layer but abated at once and it showed constant value for one month.Electric conductivity suddenly decreased from an outer layer in order of a deep layer and rose from a deep layer in sequence in a few days later.In addition, matric potential will be worked out.Therefore it is thought that after solute in soil moved to a deep layer by eluviation and moved again from a deep layer to an outer layer by diffusion or advective flow.
