Every year, young and not-so-young soil scientists migrate from their public sector job to the private sector in search of a different work experience, income, project opportunities and flexibility.  The allure of consulting often overshadows the maze of regulations, performance, requirements and survival techniques that individuals must adapt to in the private sector.  This session is a business primer for individuals considering a career change to the private sector, as well as recent college graduates considering a consulting job.  Several business owners will provide critical "insider" perspectives on maximizing public sector talents in a private sector environment.  Topics include marketing, advancement, ownership, pitfalls, rewards, and job satisfaction.
