Since 2009, corn and grain sorghum have been planted in various alternative geometries at Tribune, Kansas to evalute potential yield gains in dryland environments.  As one component of this study canopy temperature was recorded using automated instrumentation. The impact on canopy temperature and CWSI (crop water stress index) by alternative planting geometries in corn and grain sorghum will be presented.
