An introduction to soil erosion involves students in an easy and inexpensive demonstration using plastic beverage containers and a spray bottle. A quantitative soil erosion experiment for upper grade levels not only teaches students about erosion but engages them in experimental processes and incorporates math and critical thinking into the curriculum. Students learn various presentation skills as they prepare and report their findings.
