For twenty years University of California Research and Extension Centers have provided an introductory event for outstanding FFA students to learn about the exciting area of agricultural research.  Ag Futures is a one-day seminar where FFA students and their advisors are shown the wide range of agricultural research being conducted in the field and laboratory and the educational opportunities at the University of California.  Internships are available to the best students to work closely with a researcher.  During an 8-week appointment, the intern will conduct a research project or be a part of a larger project under the mentor’s guidance.    This includes writing a research report and making a presentation of their results.  Past interns have successfully competed for scholarships and completed their studies in agriculture.
