Often times those that manage University Research or Military land are ask to work with  research/projects that involves a regulated material.  This may be a pesticide, plant material (seed, plant parts or both) or other substances.  This paper will discuss some of the protocol for dealing with the compliance requirements when supervising a regulated biotechnology research program.  Items that will be discussed are: Approvals, Design Protocol, Compliance Forms (standard and electronic) and Compliance Site Details.   When finished those in attendance should have a better understanding of what is involved when working with a USDA regulated material.
