The Alabama A & M Environmental Science Club is focused on promoting and encouraging environmental stewardship on the campus of AAMU and in the city of Huntsville, Alabama. The Alabama A & M University Environmental Science Club organizes programs and participates in community service events to promote water quality, soil conservation, and recycling activities. The Green Living Expo is an annual event that encourages and educates students and individuals in the community to “live green” and become eco-friendly. The 2012 Green Living Expo theme was “Living Green on the Inside and Out”.  The event included a collaboration of activities with HEBNI Nutrition Consultants, Water Wheels Mobile Learning Lab, Rock Tenn Recycling and the AAMU Environmental Science Club. The AAMU Environmental Science Club encouraged youth to recycle plastics and glass, plant herbs & spices, and to make bird feeders.
