Title: Field Indicator of Hydric Soils in the United States

Session Description: Hydric Soils Tour This tour will visit natural wetlands in the morning to highlight common Field Indicators of Hydric Soils that are used for delineation of wetland soils. Participants will be able to view and compare field indicators across wetland soil boundaries in soil pits. Local and national experts will be available to discuss the types of field indicators found, and to help participants describe and interpret them. Lunch will be provided at a local park. In the afternoon a wetland restoration site will be visited to discuss how soil properties can be used to identify appropriate areas for wetland restoration, creation and enhancement.
