Title: Symposium--Modeling of Physiological Traits for Crop Improvement
Lead Community Sponsor:
Cosponsor: C02 Crop Physiology and Metabolism
Community Cosponsor: Model Applications in Field Research Community
Format: Oral Symposium
Keywords: AdaptationModeling
Session Description: Quantitative models, including dynamic simulations of plant morphology and physiological processes are increasingly used to examine complex interactions among plant traits, germplasm, crop management and the production environment. This symposium examines advances in trait modeling with emphasis on applications to crop improvement for yield potential and adaptation to abiotic stresses, especially those that complement rapid advances in plant genomics.
