Session Description: Addresses the use of high-throughput genotyping to narrow large collections of accessions down to a manageable number that can then be evaluated by breeders. The goal is to develop core collections, mini-cores, and subsets for specific traits through large-scale genotyping to select accessions for more rigorous and expensive phenotyping. How do genomics-assisted phenotype predictions compare with those that rely on GRIN passport data alone?
