Abstract:
Antagonism that occurs between glyphosate and foliar micronutrients in the tank mix reduces the efficacy of glyphosate on weeds and the effectiveness of micronutrients on the crop, which is a waste of time and money for growers. This research focused on how to reduce antagonism with using a water conditioning and ammonium sulfate (AMS) adjuvant. Treatments for the study included glyphosate with certain micronutrient products, with or without water conditioning agents, applied to corn. Data was analyzed through taking weed control ratings and tissue samples from corn at stage V6. Research was conducted at Winfield Solutions research station in River Falls, WI.
