Abstract:
It is important for turfgrass managers and homeowners to find ways to keep grass green with less water. New chemistries have become available that may enhance the presence of plant available water in turfgrass soils. However, little information is available concerning the efficacy of these chemical products. The purpose of this study is to compare a new chemical product to help determine its efficacy for keeping turfgrass green with lower amounts of irrigation and to compare its performance with existing water enhancement products such as a popular humectant and surfactant. This research was conducted at the Oklahoma State University Turfgrass Research Center in Stillwater, OK. Results will be discussed.
