The Oklahoma State University Plant and Soil Sciences Field Day is annual event organized to provide the different clubs in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources a platform to showcase their organization and educate local children about agriculture. The event held on April 13, 2013 was organized by the Plant and Soil Science Graduate Student Organization with the Agronomy Club playing a major role in preparing and managing the event. Members of the Agronomy Club helped set-up the booths used by other clubs, manned the distribution of refreshments and assisted in the clean-up. They also guided childrenthrough the different booths and showed them the different farm equipment andfarm animals that were on site during the Field Day. This activity provided club members the opportunity to gain experience in managing an event and the privilege of sharing their passion about agriculture to children in the locality.
